The International Soil Assemblies are hybrid online and in-person gatherings aimed at building a network of solidarity and sharing embodied knowledge. This is an annual conference open to participation in discussions, workshops, and performances to celebrate the richness of global biodiversity. The International Soil Assembly is held each year in a different location. The Soil Assembly organized its first hybrid international conference at the Kochi-Muziris Biennale in Kerala, India (2023), Soil Assembly #2 – Tinku Uku Pacha in Ecuador (2025), and Soil Assembly #3 at the 6th Kochi-Muziris Biennale (2026). The Soil Assembly is now coming to Europe with the support of Soil Tribes and a decentralized model of regional assemblies, which will culminate in a final international Soil Assembly #4 at the Spore Initiative in Berlin in January 2027.
