Maya Minder (CH)
Maya Minder is an artist based in Zurich and Paris, working in the medium of installation, video and performance. She is one of the co-founders of the Soil Assembly. Her recent exhibitions include the Kanazawa 21st Century Museum, ISEA, Seoul Arts Center, Swissnex Osaka and Kunsthaus Zurich. Cooking serves as a way for her to reveal the metaphor of transforming raw nature into cooked culture, blending this with the concept of symbiotic coexistence in the Anthropocene. She creates connections between human commodities and animism, presenting a table of diversity that is yet to be fully digested. Drawing inspiration from the DIY and biohacker movement, she incorporates feminist and post-human theory to facilitate storytelling through food and cooking.
